Weekend family chili

Built for batch cooking, seconds, and the kind of leftovers everyone actually wants on Monday.

Serves 6 · Medium · 50 minutes

Blades used

  • Medium Dicer Blade — for onion, bell pepper

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cans kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • To taste — salt and pepper

Method

  1. Dice the onion and bell pepper using the medium dicer blade.
  2. Brown the meat in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the onion and pepper, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in chili powder and cumin, then add beans and crushed tomatoes.
  5. Simmer uncovered for 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Season to taste and serve with your favorite toppings.
